are convenient places to stash both images and snippets of text. Each Cubbyhole can hold multiple items and can hold both images and text at the same time.
You can use Cubbyholes as:
Mutiple Clipboards
Scrapbooks
A rolling Clipboard history
Screen Shot histories
When you add a new Cubbyhole to a
Custom Items Tab Row it begins empty.
To stash something in it, simply activate SuperTab and right-click (or control-click) on the Cubbyhole.
You'll be presented with a pop up menu from which you can take various actions:
Copy Clipboard to Cubbyhole will replace the Cubbyhole's existing contents with the contents of the clipboard.
Add Clipboard to Cubbyhole will add the clipboard's contents to the Cubbyhole's existing contents. In this manner you can build up the Cubbyhole's contents, effectively using it as a scrapbook.
Add Text to Cubbyhole lets you manually add text to the Cubbyhole
Conversely, you can copy Cubbyhole contents to the Clipboard:
Copy Cubbyhole to Clipboard will replace the clipboard's existing contents with the contents of the Cubbyhole.
Add Cubbyhole to Clipboard will add the Cubbyhole's contents to the clipboard's existing contents.
You can also specify the default action a Cubbyhole should take when you simply select it within SuperTab.
From the pop up menu choose the desired action from the Action to Take when Selected submenu:
For example, if you choose "Add Clipboard to Cubbyhole", now when you simply select the Cubbyhole, the clipboard's contents will automatically be added to the Cubbyhole.
Cubbyholes can be used to keep an automatic rolling history of the clipboard. This can be a life-saver if you need to access something that is otherwise long gone from the clipboard.
Cubbyholes can be used to keep an automatic history of your
Screen Shots too. Simply configure any
Screen Shot to save its image to a Cubbyhole for safe keeping.
To view the contents of a Cubbyhole simply mouse over the Cubbyhole. SuperTab will show a visual preview of the entirety of the Cubbyhole Contents.
In addition to transfering Cubbyhole contents to the clipboard, you can also select:
New Document with Cubbyhole... and SuperTab will create a new Text Edit document pre-populated with the contents of the Cubbyhole.
Paste Cubbyhole and SuperTab will paste the contents of the Cubbyhole into the current document.
