SuperTab Registration

Things should just work! But sometimes they don't. If you're having problems registering SuperTab, the following information should help.


SuperTab Version

The first thing to do is to make sure you are running the correct version of SuperTab for your Registrion Code.

SuperTab versions 1.x use a 16-digit registration code (including dashes). Whereas SuperTab versions 2.x use a 17-digit registration code (including dashes) and 3.x versions use 18-digit registration codes (including dashes) and 4.x versions use 19-digit registration codes (including dashes) and SuperTab versions 5.x use 20-digit codes (including dashes).

For example:
  • SuperTab 1.x: 1234-123-123-123
  • SuperTab 2.x: 1234-123-123-1234
  • SuperTab 3.x: 1234-1234-123-1234
  • SuperTab 4.x: 1234-1234-1234-1234
  • SuperTab 5.x: 1234-1234-1234-12345


    • Examine your Registration Code to see which type you have and then verify you are running the matching version of SuperTab.

    To determine the version of SuperTab that you are running, activate SuperTab normally and click on the Title of any Tab Row and select "About SuperTab...". You'll be presented with the About Box which has the SuperTab version in it.

    Version Mismatch

    If you have a mismatch of Registration Code type and SuperTab version, you can do the following:

    If you have a 5.x registration code but are running an older version of SuperTab, you can simply visit the SuperTab Download page to download and install the latest SuperTab. Once installed you will be able to successfully register it with your 5.x Registration Code.

    If you have a 1.x, 2.x, 3.x or 4.x registration code but are running a 5.x version of SuperTab, you can purchase an Upgrade to the latest SuperTab and get a 5.x Registration Code for only $2.99.

    Once you do so, you will receive a new 5.x registration code which you can use to register the version of SuperTab you already have installed and running.


    Entering Your Credentials

    It is important that you enter your credentials exactly as mentioned in your registration confirmation email:
  • Remove any leading or trailing spaces when entering both your email address and Registration Code.
     
  • SuperTab is case sensitive: be sure to enter your email address with the same case as the email appears
       in your registration confirmation email.
     
  • When entering your Registration Code, DO include the dashes.


    • 3rd Party Promotions

    From time to time we make SuperTab available through 3rd Party companies. When we do, they sometimes require us to provide them with a list of Registration Codes upfront.

    However, since SuperTab's Registration Codes are linked directly to email addresses, we are forced to generate Registration Codes using "Artificial" email addresses, such as:
  • supertab123@macsoftware.com


    • If you purchased SuperTab from a 3rd Party Company you have two options:
  • Option 1: You can register SuperTab with the credentials you received from the 3rd party. Just be sure to use
                      the "Artificial" email address and not your real email address.
     
  • Option 2: You can request a new Registration Code (for free) that will allow you to register SuperTab using
                      your own email address. To request a new Registraton Code, use this form:
    • name: preferred email:

    provide the "Artificial" Email Address and Registration Code that you received:
